He has been awarded on the invention in which he described a device and a method for avoiding harmful ultraviolet radiation exposure during the analysis and processing of biomolecule-resolved electro phoretic gel matrices. It is pertinent to mention here that the electrophoresis is a key molecular biology technique used for studying biomolecules, for example, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), ribonucleic acid (RNA) and proteins. Currently, Dr. Imran invention in the process of commercialization to bring this useful technology to the market to benefit the community of scientists and health professionals involved especially in the analysis of DNA. The worth mentioning here is that Dr. Imran has independently prepared and submitted his extraordinary invention for obtaining intellectual property rights to United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 2012 and obtained a provisional US patent.
